- About Me: Welcome to Fernwood Woolworks. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and I spend my days designing and dying self patterning sock yarns to be knit into Oregon Soakers Socks. I use one of the three early 1900's Legare 400 Circular Sock Machines. I love to Fair Isle and enjoy the process of Knitting. I also admit I am a yarn snob....the more wool the better!
